A Wirral health trust is holding an open day later this week in a campaign to recruit more volunteers.
Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (WCHC) has many volunteers who generously give their time to help support staff and the people they care for. Its volunteer open day is at Community Intermediate Care Centre (CIC) at Clatterbridge Hospital Cancer Site on Clatterbridge Road in Bebington, on Thursday (April 25).
The trust is looking for volunteers who would like to support teams at the centre, with a range of activities which will give extra help and comfort to patients ensuring they receive a positive experience.
There will be three drop-in sessions on Thursday:
- 11am - 11.30am
- 2pm - 2.30pm
- 3pm - 3.30pm
It is described by the trust as "a fantastic opportunity for people to meet the team and ask any questions about volunteering on one of the three wards."
