More than 50 stunning Wirral wedding venues where you can say I do

There are 20 hotels, manors and restaurants in the area under Wirral Council that are licensed for marriage ceremonies and wedding receptions and 38 palaces, halls and botanic gardens under Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Did you know you can even get married at Birkenhead Town Hall?

Or how about Chester Zoo or Ness Botanic Gardens?

Chester Zoo

All hotels, pubs and bars, and function rooms can host wedding receptions but only 20 are approved venues with Wirral Council and 38 with Cheshire West and Chester where legal marriage and civil partnerships can take place, after being granted approval.

Couples can say I do at hotels like Thornton Hall, The Chester Grosvenor and The Holiday Inn Chester South as well as other venues like The Red Fox and Heswall Hall.

Sporting venues on the list – Chester Racecourse and Vicars Cross Golf Club and some of the more unusual venues include Chester Zoo, Floral Pavilion in New Brighton and Ellesmere Port Civic Hall.

As well as hosting weddings, these establishments can also host naming ceremonies and vow renewals.

Thornton Manor

Weddings will be led by registrars at civil ceremonies and aren’t religious – if you would like to have a religious service, this will need to take place in a church or place of worship and be conducted by a religious official.
