A MAN has been charged after he threatened staff with a knife during a robbery at an off-licence in Wallasey.
At around 3.30pm on Tuesday, April 9 a man reportedly walked into Bargain Booze on Brighton Street and made threats with a knife while demanding cash.
The man was restrained by a customer in the store before officers arrived and detained him.
Merseyside Police confirmed that nobody was injured during the incident.
Thomas McNulty, 57, of Littledale Road, Egremont has now been charged with Robbery and Possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
McNulty will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Thursday, April 11.
