A BIRKENHEAD music venue has launched a new holiday club for this Easter half term.

Future Yard announced its new club, New Noise Holiday Club, for children aged between seven and 11, giving kids the chance to try out making music in sessions at the venue.

Taking place during the Easter Holidays from April 8-12, New Noise Holiday Club will give children the opportunity to make friends, start a band, write songs, and even perform on the Future Yard stage.

Every child will get the chance to learn about guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, singing and more in a supportive and friendly environment.

Future Yard CEO, Craig Pennington, said: “New Noise Holiday Club is here to support the next generation of music makers.

“We believe that children of all ages should have access to music, to help them find different ways of expressing themselves and communicating with others.

“In particular, we want to be able to offer this to young people in the local area and provide some fun during the half-term holidays, a time which can be a challenge for some families.”

Led by a team of hugely experienced and passionate tutors, New Noise Holiday Club is the latest addition to Future Yard’s exciting skills and training offer that provides interesting ways for local young people to engage with music.

New Noise Holiday Club is part of the Holiday Activities And Food (HAF) campaign over the Easter holidays, supported by Edsential.

The free to access places on the programme are funded by the Department for Education as part of a national HAF campaign, supporting children, young people and their families during school holidays.

New Noise Holiday Club takes place at Future Yard, 75 Argyle Street, Birkenhead.

The Holiday Club runs between 10am and 4pm, Monday, April 8 to Friday, April 12, with musical activities throughout the day. You can select an option for early drop-off and/or late collection on any day between 8.30am and 5.30pm, at a cost of £5 per day.

Free places are available for children who qualify for benefit-related free school meals.

For paid places, the course costs £150 per child for the full week. There are a limited number of places which are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
