A WOMAN was taken to hospital with “several” stab wounds after an incident near Birkenhead Park.
At around 3.40pm yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, March 19) police received a report of a concern for the safety of a woman at an address on Prince Edwards Street off Park Road North in Birkenhead.
The woman was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital with several stab wounds.
A police scene was in place whilst emergency services including an air ambulance were in the area.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the Globe there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
