Sergeant Simon Duffy said: “Although we have made a further arrest, we are still appealing for anyone with information to please come forward to assist the ongoing investigation.  Regardless of how significant you believe your information is, please contact us and a detective will review your account.”

“I would urge anyone who travelled along Teehey Lane between the junctions of Kennet Road and Well Lane, to contact my team.

“The first call to emergency services was made at 7.41pm, so I am particularly keen to hear from anyone in this area, in the minutes prior, especially if you have dashcam.

"If you have any information, dashcam footage or you travelled through the area at this time, please contact us as soon as possible.

“Following the collision, the vehicle was driven towards Sandymount Drive where it was abandoned.
