POLICE have confirmed that a teenager known to visit Wirral who had gone missing has been found safe and well.
Officers had issued an appeal earlier today after Leona Derbyshire, who had last been last seen in the Kensington area on Saturday evening, March 9, had gone missing, with police increasingly concerned about her welfare.
Extensive inquiries were conducted to find her.

She is 5ft 7inch tall, of slim build, with brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes.
Leona was last seen wearing a long black coat, black leggings, a plain white hoody, grey and white Balenciaga shoes.
She is known to visit areas in Liverpool city centre, Kensington and Wirral.
On Sunday afternoon, Merseyside Police confirmed the 17-year-old had been found safe and well.
A statement said: "Great news. Missing 17-year-old Leona Derbyshire has been found safe and well.
"Thank you as always for sharing."
