OFFICERS have charged 12 people after homes were raided in Ellesmere Port.

A series of warrants took place in Ellesmere Port and Chester as part of investigations into the supply of cocaine and cannabis on Wednesday, March 6.

Two separate operations – Operation Heracles and Operation Leonardo - took place targeting organised crime groups (OCGs) believed to be involved in the large-scale supply of cocaine and cannabis in Cheshire.

The day involved more than 250 officers; including those from Cheshire Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU), Ellesmere Port Proactive Team, and other specialist resources, including police dogs.

A total of 19 warrants were executed at addresses across Ellesmere Port and Chester, following a morning briefing at Cheshire Police Headquarters in Winsford.

During the warrants, several kilos of cannabis and over £65,000 cash was seized.

Following the warrants, officers have charged 16 men in connection with drug offences in Ellesmere Port and Chester.

The following men have been charged with conspiracy to supply class B drugs (cannabis):

  • Jason Mayers, 31, of Princess Road, Ellesmere Port
  • Daniel Neild, 32, of Lancaster Gardens, Ellesmere Port
  • Kyle Phillips, 27, of Capenhurst Lane, Ellesmere Port
  • Thomas Cooper, 22, of Bebington Road, Ellesmere Port
  • Ryan Neild, 24, of Luton Road, Ellesmere Port
  • Joseph Henry, 33, Blacon Point Road, Chester
  • Aiden Johnson, 30, of Kenilworth Court, Ellesmere Port
  • Adam Jones, 31, of Durhan Court, Ellesmere Port
  • Ethan McLaughlin, 22, of King Street, Ellesmere Port
  • Bailey Davies, 24, of Oliver Lane, Ellesmere Port
  • Gary Tushingham, 27, of Downing Close, Ellesmere Port
  • Sean Mooney, 28, of Kensington Green, Chester
  • Edward Kaye, 29, of Bridge Court, Chester

The following man has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs:

  • Paul Ibell, 31, of St Marys Road, Chester

A 25-year-old man who was arrested in Formby has since been released under investigation.
