WIRRAL residents will be able to catch up on missed vaccinations thanks to a pioneering service touring the borough in the coming weeks.

Staff on the 'Living Well Service' bus will be offering all routine vaccinations, including MMR (which vaccinates against measles, mumps and rubella) to adults and children in Wirral.

The service, run by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, is also responding to increased calls for the public the catch up on missed vaccinations.

You will have seen reports about measles cases in the news. While there have been no confirmed cases in Wirral, people of all ages are being encouraged to catch up on their vaccinations.

The Living Well Service, which provides ‘drop in’ health clinics by bus, is built on the principles of bringing the right services to local communities and helping reduce barriers to accessing care.

With no appointments necessary, the service’s clinical team will also offer physical health checks and mental health support, alongside vaccinations.
