A former Wirral scout headquarters is among 29 properties across Merseyside set to go under the hammer at auction later this month.

Smith and Sons' online auction will take place next Wednesday (February 28) with viewings underway and pre auction offers already being received.

The former scout hut property, on Liscard Road in Wallasey, offers storage or workshop space with an option to redevelop the site.

It is one of several terraced and semi-detached homes throughout Wirral up for auction.

Among them are three flats in Bidston Court opposite Bidston Hill that are described by Smith & Sons as 'ideal either for owner occupation or investment' and a house on Dundonald Street in Birkenhead that is guided at £30,000 and "sure to attract attention".

A number of properties are described as making 'ideal starter or family homes', including a three-bedroomed house on Parkside, Bebington which offers 'spacious accommodation and with good gardens on a popular and desirable road' guided at £130,000 to £150,000.

Also going under the hammer is a hard-surfaced storage yard close to the centre of Ellesmere Port town centre, which is guided at £10,000 to £15,000.

Chris Johnson Auctioneer at Smith and Sons commented: "There are some very sensibly priced lots in this auction that will appeal to a builders, developers and investors.

"Despite a slower market than usual during 2023, we are seeing an increase in confidence particularly for well priced investments which continue to provide a very competitive yield."
