A WIRRAL-BASED community garden project, that uses horticulture and creative workshops to encourage community cohesion and tackle social issues, has announced a number of free events.

Earth Moves will hold a series of "enriching and immersive events designed to celebrate the beauty of nature while nurturing creativity in the community".

Titled 'Exploring the Intersection of Nature and Creativity', the series offers a diverse range of activities for all ages, from crafting willow fences to exploring the art of herbal tea-making.

The programme will feature a variety of engaging workshops and hands-on experiences, including: helping to make a dragon hugelkultur for Lunar New Year, disability inclusive yoga, printmaking, helping to build a willow fence, harvest herbs and make your own tea and a children and families day to build a scarecrow.

Earth Moves has been working with Wirral Council to revive Wallasey's former Telegraph Lane market gardens that sit between Leasowe Road and Green Lane besides the North Wirral Coastal Park

Paula Staunton, Earth Moves co-founder, said: "We are thrilled to offer this series of events that celebrate the wonders of nature and encourage creativity. Whether you're interested in gardening, crafting, or simply connecting with nature, there's something for everyone to enjoy."

All events in the series are free and open to the public, with materials provided. Participants are encouraged to register in advance to secure their spot.
