RAIL replacement buses have been requested after “major disruption” on Merseyrail services.
Due to power supply issues at Leasowe, the West Kirby line is disrupted. Services have been suspended West Kirby and Birkenhead North.
Rail replacement buses have been requested to run between West Kirby and Birkenhead North and are not yet in operation.
A spokesperson for Merseyrail said that train services to West Kirby "may be terminated at and started back from Birkenhead North".
Disruption is expected to last until 12.45pm today (Friday, February 9).
