DRY January is finally over and many of you will want to get out and enjoy a nice pint.

If you want to try somewhere new or even just see where the best places to go are in Wirral, look no further.

We asked Globe readers where their favourite place for a pint was and we've rounded up the seven most popular answers.

1. Vault

In top spot was Vault in Bromborough which only opened in December 2023.

The cocktail and wine bar screens various sports and has live music on regularly.

Janet Mcilroy said: "Vault Bromborough lovely place lovely atmosphere excellent staff."

Rachel Williams added: "Vault Bromborough. Great atmosphere and lovely staff."

2. The Tap

In close second place was The Tap in Eastham.

Bob Muir and Callum Kee-McParlin have recently taken over as managers.

The venue is currently very popular with motorcyclists and dog walkers and although Bob and Callum are keen to continue welcoming both they want to let people know that The Tap is not just a bikers' pub but open to anyone and everyone.

Anne Marie Spencer, Susan Jayne Ellis and Tracy Clayton all voted this pub as their favourite place for a pint.

3. The Travellers Rest

The Travellers Rest comes in at third place.

This popular cosy traditional pub is by the edge of Storeton Woods and has a country pub feel. The pub screens sports and serves food.

Paul Abbott said: "The Travs Bebington best pint of Guinness this side."

Michael Binks also voted for The Travellers Rest as his favourite.

4. The Magazine Hotel

In fourth place, but still a firm favourite, is The Magazine Hotel in Wallasey.

The Magazine Hotel is one of the oldest pubs on the Wirral, with its building dating back to 1759.

They are one of only a handful of pubs in the area still serving draught Bass, which attracts customers from near and far.

Sandy Ulmer said: "The Magazine - hands down."

Rachael Lawler added: "Magazine Hotel has the best pint."

5. Gallaghers

Next up in Gallaghers in Birkenhead.

Gallaghers is a traditional pub specialising in cask ales, craft beers and premium lagers.

The pub is very popular among Wirral residents especially with veterans, providing them with a key social hub.

Sam McGowan said: "Gallaghers Traditional Pub every single time!"

6. Bow Legged Beagle, New Brighton

Finally, which was another popular answer, is the Bow Legged Beagle in New Brighton.

They also have venues in Upton and Bromborough, but New Brighton was voted for the most by readers.

At the Bow-Legged Beagle they are "devoted to serving quality, local beer that are all made with love, care and dedication by the brewer".

Barry Smith, Maureen Hughes and Karen Kinsella voted it as their favourite.
