A WIRRAL woman has opened a wellness clinic so people can come and focus on their physical and mental health.

Charlotte Hulme, from Greasby, trained as a beauty therapist when she was 18 and spent seven years working at Thornton Hall.

She then went self-employed as a chiropractor for six years, deciding she really enjoyed massaging and wanted to step away from beauty.

Now, Charlotte has opened a new wellness clinic on Greasby Road, where she offers, message therapy, hot stone massage therapy and pregnancy massages.

She is looking to introduce reflexology, reiki, sports massage, podiatry and aesthetics in the near future.

Speaking to the Globe, Charlotte, 34, said: "I've always wanted to open up my own clinic and it took me around two years to find the right space.

"I’ve only been open two weeks but it feels great.

"I was ready to work more as my kids are a little older now and I can throw myself into work."

Charlotte explained how the clinic will focus on helping clients with their physical and mental health, as she has a counsellor and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) specialist working with her at present.

She added: "People are really suffering at the minute and the NHS waiting lists are so long so it gives people the chance to go private.

"This is a nice safe space and a little getaway for people.

"It doesn’t feel like work to me, it’s a really nice job. I just get to pamper people all day and some of my clients have been with me for years so you really get to know everyone."

CH Wellness Clinic is open every day apart from Saturdays, however, it is appointment only.
