THERE were more than 2,900 babies born in Wirral in 2023

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust collates all the baby-related data every month detailing how many babies are born – boys and girls – whether there are any sets of twins or triplets and how babies are delivered.

There are stats for the number of babies born at Wirral Women and Children’s Hospital and how many are born at home or at Seacombe Birth Centre as well as the how many new arrivals were breast fed.

They also record the busiest day each month for births and whether babies are born on their due date, a little early or a little late.

The 12 monthly facts and figures have been collated to produce yearly numbers for the trust.
