These road closures are causing "heavy traffic"
A MAIN road in Birkenhead is closed both ways this afternoon (Monday, January 8) due to an accident.
Traffic feed INRIX shows that Borough Road in Birkenhead is currently closed both ways.
This is due to an accident between A41 Chester Street and A552 Argyle Street.
These road closures are causing "heavy traffic", it has been reported.
Merseyside Police has been contacted for more information.
The traffic feeds now show that "both ways have re-opened" on Borough Road.
