A ROAD has been closed for "emergency repairs" in Wallasey.
Traffic feed INRIX states that the A59 Westbound is closed due to emergency repairs from Wallasey Tunnel Exit to M53.
The closure is heading away from the tunnel. Initially reported to be from the A5027 to the A554.
This is causing "heavy traffic" and has been ongoing since around 13.20pm.
The latest update confirms: "A59 Westbound has now re-opened, traffic has returned to normal and the emergency repairs are complete."
