TEAMS from New Brighton Lifeboat Station and the Mersey Divers will face eachother again in their annual New Year's Day Tug of War later this morning (Monday, January 1).
The event, taking place on the beach near Fort Perch Rock, New Brighton, is in aid of the RNLI's lifesaving work and is due to start at 11am.

"Your donations can help the Lifeboat Station continue its mission of saving lives at sea.
"Come down and watch! We can't wait to see you all there."
Last year's event ended with 2-0 victory for the New Brighton Lifeboat team.
It was the fourth time the two teams had competed against one another, with New Brighton’s volunteer crew having already claimed victory in the previous three contests.
