A MERSEYSIDE science and discovery centre is hosting Christmas themed activities this festive season.

Imagine That! Based in Liverpool has unveiled its ‘10 Crafts of Christmas’ theme to families looking for festive activities this Christmas.

Throughout the festive season, visitors can create their own Christmas Eve boxes to be filled with magic reindeer food, a hot chocolate popper and a candy cane mouse. There will be melting snowman slime to take home as well as a pot of magical never-melting snow.

Children can also have a go at festive magnet painting, make elf masks and festive door hangers, and pose for a ‘Selfie with Elfie’ souvenir photograph.

Abby Wallace, manager at Imagine That!, said: “Christmas is a time for getting the family together, having fun and playing in snow. And when it comes to celebrating the festive season, Imagine That! has it all – including guaranteed ‘snow’ showers in our magical never-melting snow workshop.

“We’re really excited about this year’s theme, Christmas crafts and lots of laughs. It’s a real fun-filled day out packed with activities, which will put the whole family in the festive mood.

“During the festive period, we’ll have 10 Christmas crafts for the little ones to make and take home with them, so the fun continues even after they leave.

“And there will be heaps of fun and laughter during their busy visit thanks to the mischievous elves who have been causing mischief around the place.”

As well as a new festive science show, there’s all the usual fun including role play in Imagination Village, painting a real car and getting messy in enormous vats of gooey slime.

Tickets, which must be booked in advance, are £15.95 for children aged three and over. Children aged one and two are £12.95 and adults are £7.95. Admission includes all crafts.
