CLATTERBRIDGE Cancer Charity's first ever Christmas Concert at Liverpool's Metropolitan Cathedral is taking place next month.

This festive celebration of music and song, on Thursday December 14, will be hosted by Wirral-based entertainer and radio presenter Pete Price.

Pete visited the Clatterbridge Centre in Liverpool recently to meet staff and spread some festive cheer.

He said: "Clatterbridge is a beacon of hope for so many across Merseyside and Cheshire.

"The care and support they provide for local people with cancer is second to none, and something my own family have benefitted from when my mum was cared for at their Wirral centre.

"I'm only too pleased to support this great cause by hosting the charity’s first ever Christmas Concert.

"It's going to be a great night, so grab your friends and family, and join me for some Christmas cheer.”

Lauren Herrity from the Clatterbridge fundraising team is pictured with Pete during his recent visit to the Liverpool Centre, she said: "We're so excited that Pete agreed to host our inaugural Christmas Concert.

"Who better to kick start your Christmas celebrations with some Clatterbridge sparkle than the panto king himself!”

“Wirral Orchestra and Choir will be providing the music, as they take concert goers on a sleigh ride of Christmas favourites and invite them to sing along with the carols that make it the most wonderful time of the year.”

“The lucky winners of our concert raffle will also be taking home a £150 Christmas shop full of all their favourite festive treats courtesy of our friends at Tesco, you could say we’ve got Christmas all wrapped up!”
