FORECASTERS have predicted temperatures to drop over the weekend across Wirral.

The Met Office has warned of "frosty" conditions over the weekend in Wirral due to freezing air blowing in from the Arctic Circle and across Scandinavia.

Temperatures are set to drop to 3C on Saturday night (November 25) leading into Sunday morning (November 26), with the 'feels like temperature' at freezing (0C).

Here is a look at the weekend forecast:

Today:

Blustery start with some clouds towards the south in the morning. Turning bright with plenty of sunny spells into the afternoon. Feeling cold despite the sunshine with the fresh northerly winds easing for all by the evening. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Clear skies and light winds across the whole region mean temperatures will fall below freezing for most places overnight. Areas around the coast will remain a little milder. Minimum temperature -3 °C.

Saturday:

After a frosty start to the day, bright sunshine covers the region allowing temperatures to slowly rise through the morning in very light winds. Remaining rather cold through the day. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Frost overnight into Sunday but cloud and rain moving in from the west later. Sunny spells through Monday as temperatures turn milder once again. Drier and brighter on Tuesday.
