LIVERPOOL's Royal Albert Dock in is helping people get into the festive spirit this Christmas.

Filling evenings with light, the dock has received a makeover as its installations return.

There will be a multitude of selfie opportunities for the "ultimate festive photo" while walking along the waterfront with a mulled wine or hot chocolate.

Explore the estate to see a collection of characters, including nautical artworks and characters from Liverpool’s coat of arms.

Providing a backdrop for fans of The Beatles, an immersive yellow submarine shines brightly in Britannia Courtyard, ready for families and couples to snap a photo alongside John, Paul, George and Ringo.

Visitors will also find Neptune and Triton standing tall at the entrance before spotting a jellyfish duo in front of the Martin Luther King Jr. Building.

Plus, Liver Bird duo Bertie and Bella reclaim their positions in Anchor Courtyard and on Gower Street.

As the countdown to Christmas begins, the dock will also welcome performances from choirs around the North West throughout December.

Visitors can enjoy Christmas classics with a twist from Liverpool indie Choir on December 2 with more to be announced.

A trip to the dock wouldn’t be complete without a feast of festive flavours.

For traditional indulgence with a twist, enjoy Madre’s spiced turkey tacos topped with cranberry salsa, Maray’s crispy sprouts served with chestnut tahini and Lunyalita’s giant street food Christmas pintos platters complete with Catalan pigs in blankets.

There will also be a variety of independent retailers selling gifts to complete the Christmas shopping at Liverpool’s waterfront.
