A HAIR salon in Neston has scooped a national award.

Coral Jade, from Neston, has been hairdressing for 18 years and completed her apprenticeship at Thornton Hall.

The 34-year-old opened her own business Coral Jade Hair and Beauty in West Vale 12 years ago. After the pandemic, she moved her business to Hinderton Road.

Coral specialises in colouring and completed her Schwarzkopf master colour course in 2017.

On Sunday, November 19, Coral attended the Salon Awards 2023 at the Hilton in Deansgate, Manchester.

She won the award for Best Colour Salon in Cheshire. There were 19 awards handed out and over 2,500 nominees.

'I love transforming my clients'

Coral said it was "an amazing moment to see my name up there as a winner".

She added: "I am so happy to have won. I couldn’t believe it when they called my name. Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with colour and so passionate about it.

"I love transforming my clients and making them look and feel beautiful.

"I am so grateful to all of my beautiful clients for always supporting me and being my biggest cheerleaders. I love them all so much."

Coral explained that "colour has always been my passion" since she started hairdressing around 18 years ago.

She said: "I am always doing new courses to keep my skills up to date and learn all about the new products and techniques.

"Our industry changes all the time and I believe we should all invest in ourselves to be the best for our clients. 

"I am so passionate about colour that I have started my own education company called Coral Jade Covers Grey.

"I have started this to help as many hairdressers as I can."
