A NEW BBC comedy series which was filmed in Wirral will hit TV screens this week.

BBC Three series, Such Brave Girls, is heading to screens on Wednesday (November 22) after being filmed earlier this year.

The six-part sitcom was filmed across Wirral and Knowsley, facilitated by the Liverpool Film Office.

Written, created and starring Kat Sadler, the series is directed by Simon Bird and produced by Catherine Gosling Fuller.

It follows sisters Josie, played by Kat and Billie (played by Kat’s real-life sister, Lizzie Davidson) and their single mother Deb (Louise Brealey) navigating life armed with nothing but poor judgement and self-esteem exclusively tied to people who couldn’t care less about them.

They’re vain, selfish, heavily in debt, pathologically desperate for affection, and bursting with misplaced, terrifying love.

Commissioned by Jon Petrie, Director of Comedy at BBC, the Executive Producers for VAL are Jack Bayles and Phil Clarke, the Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Gregor Sharp.

Such Brave Girls, from VAL/A24, will air on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer at 10pm on Wednesday, November 22.
