THERE is “major disruption” on Merseyrail services this morning (Sunday, November 19).
Train services have been suspended between Hooton and Ellesmere Port due to a broken down train.
Rail replacement busses are in operation between Rock Ferry and Ellesmere Port in both directions until further notice.
Disruption is expected to last until midday.
There are also delays on the Chester and Ellesmere Port line due to a track fault at Rock Ferry.
Train services from Chester are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled or delayed. Disruption is expected until 11:30am.
