A WIRRAL charity tells the story of how it cares for sick children in its first ever Christmas advert on TV.
With the help of its beloved mascot, Claire House shares a special story about how it supports seriously-ill children and their families through some of the toughest times of their lives, whilst helping them to create magical memories.
The advert is part the hospice's Christmas appeal and asks the public to give donations to support its work.
Grieving parents, Emma and Dan Garner, who feature in the advert, tell how Claire House helped them spend special time with their son, Thomas, who sadly passed away in April 2018.
Emma explained: “The hospice allows special memories to be made at Christmas time, memories that children and families will cherish forever.
"Our family was together at Christmas with Thomas and we will never get that again.
“By giving to Claire House at Christmas, it means more families are kept together in some way or another".
David Pastor, chief executive of Claire House said: "We know the people of Wirral are amazingly generous and will do what they can to help sick children and their families.
"We urge people to give what they can.
"Money donated this Christmas will ensure we can give the families who come to Claire House a magical Christmas and reach out to other families who desperately need our support in the future."
The advert, that was created by Liverpool based creative agency, Zut Media, will play on Sky TV channels until December 27
