THREE teenage boys have been arrested after an attempted robbery in Birkenhead.

At around 6.55pm on Wednesday (November 1) officers received a report that a group of boys on bikes rode alongside a man riding an electric bike on Sailsbury Street, Birkenhead and forced him to stop.

They threatened the man to handover his bike.

The suspects rode off when a CCTV operator shouted at them over the loud speak system at the Pyramid Shopping Centre. They were approached and later stopped by security staff.

Three boys two aged 16 and one aged 17 from Birkenhead were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery.

They have each been bailed with conditions whilst officers continue their investigations.
