TEN artists will be taking part in the hugely popular Oxton Open Studio Tour, which returns next week.

Taking place on Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26 the free event is now in its third year. It is from 10-4pm on both days.

A spokesperson for the organisers told the Globe: "Our third Oxton Open Studios event will see four studios and 10 fabulous artists and makers take part in this weekend event.

"All studios are within a few minutes walk from Oxton Village, where you can browse, chat to the artists or buy original pieces across every price range.

"In addition, the resident artists and invited guests of Wellington Road Arts Studio will be open for its, ’Made for Christmas' event, where you will find a warm welcome & a good selection of artisan gifts".

The Oxton Open Studio Tour spokesperson continued:  "Oxton has had a rich history of artists who are drawn in by its beautiful architecture and quirky atmosphere.

"With the Williamson Art Gallery and Museum acting as a nucleus for those wanting to connect to the arts, and Oxton Art Fair also being an annual November event, we want to continue to build upon the village’s close community and encourage working artists to open up their studios to share their processes and work.

"Oxton Open Studios emerged in 2021 from three formative studios wanting to work together under the same umbrella. We are also part of Studios of Oxton which incorporates Wellington Road Studios.
