A SAUSAGE dog attacked a pensioner on a Wirral beach.
At around 4.20pm on Saturday, November 11, a man in his 70s was walking along West Kirby beach when a brown Dachshund, which was not on a lead, came up to him and bit him on the leg.
It was reported that the dog owner did not help the injured man who had to attend hospital following the incident.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “Anyone who witnessed this incident or with any information is asked to contact @MerPolCC on Twitter or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook with log 23001131184.
“You can also call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
