MERSEYRAIL services are continuing to face “major disruption” this morning after Storm Babet battered the region yesterday.
They confirmed that services on the Chester and Ellesmere Port lines are still suspended this morning due to flooding issues on the network (Saturday, October 21).
All services between Rock Ferry and Ellesmere Port have been suspended due to ongoing flood issues on the tracks at Hooton.
A limited rail replacement bus service is in operation from Rock Ferry on both lines in both directions.
A spokesperson for Merseyrail said: “Due to flooding at Hooton, all services between Rock Ferry and Ellesmere Port have been suspended.
A limited Rail Replacement Service is now in operation between Chester & Rock Ferry.
Due to flooding at Hooton, all services between Rock Ferry and Ellesmere Port have been suspended.
A limited Rail Replacement Service is now in operation between Ellesmere Port & Rock Ferry.”
