A WIRRAL junior football team coach has thanked the owner of a barbershop for his generosity after he became their sponsor.

Saied Khormanie, who moved to the UK six years ago and set up VIP Barbers Bromborough a little over two years ago, said he was happy to be able to sponsor Bromborough & Eastham Junior Football Club Under 10s Hawks.

He added: "I am very much a people person and I love to see people who keep coming back with smiles on their faces and leaving with the best hairstyles and grooming around.

"I want to wish the Under 10s Hawks Team the very best of luck for this new season with my company as their new sponsor and good luck to the whole of the Bromborough & Eastham Junior Football Club."

The Under 10s Hawks coach Mark Pearce told the Globe:  "I coach my son and his team the Under 10s Hawks which is one of several dozen teams within the Bromborough & Eastham Junior Football Club.

"We have struggled to get a sponsor for our boys' shirts, but have managed to do so, with a little input from myself and barbershop owner Saied, who has a heart of gold.

"It’s difficult enough without a language barrier for a company to part with money so for him to listen and take on board our team sponsorship is really good news.

"Saied is Iranian/Persian and his English is getting better and better, he has had this business for a little under two years now and lived in the UK for six years.

"I’m doing my best to promote him through the club and through our social media friends and want to say a massive 'thank you' for his support for our club."
