A WIRRAL care home hosted a classic car show that brought back 'some wonderful memories' for residents.

The event, at Caldy Manor Care Home, brought together staff, residents, relatives and local motoring enthusiasts.

It was, according to the organiser, an afternoon filled with classic and vintage vehicles, refreshments made by the home's wonderful chef and a fantastic atmosphere.

The vehicles were provided by Wirral Classic Car Club, who went "above and beyond to make sure all the staff and residents had the most wonderful afternoon".

Residents at Caldy Manor had the chance to speak to the car owners and even take a seat in the vintage cars. It brought back some wonderful memories for everyone involved.

Cynthia, a resident at Caldy Manor, said: "I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was simply delightful to witness such a splendid collection."

Another resident commented: “It was amazing to see all the old cars again, our close friend had a car very similar, it brought back some wonderful memories”.

Hannah Roberts, general manager at Caldy Manor, said: “We are so lucky to have such an amazing team here at Caldy Manor who provide outstanding events just like this.

"It brings us all together. We are delighted with how well it went”.

Steph, Head of Activities added: “We would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who came from Wirral Classic Car Club and made this event a resounding success. We look forward to holding another classic car show again.”
