AN under 8s football team in Ellesmere Port has kicked off the season with a new kit, thanks to sponsorship from local homebuilder Redrow.
Vauxhall Cavaliers Under 8s received sponsorship for their new kit which will take them through the season, playing in the Eastham & District Junior Football League.
Jon Waring, chairman of Vauxhall Motors Football Club, said: “We are a community club, run by volunteers. When we receive investment from sponsors it enables us to target specific projects that help us to continue providing outstanding opportunities and facilities for our members.

Vauxhall Motors currently has over 600 members playing games every weekend, starting from an under-five team through to adults’ teams. Training sessions are held throughout the week at Vauxhall Motors Sports and Social Club in Ellesmere Port.
Chris Edwards, area sales manager at Redrow NW who are building at nearby Ledsham Garden Village, said: “We have supported Vauxhall Motors Football Club for a number of years now and we’re pleased to see this junior team kitted out in their new gear. We wish them every success for the new season.”
