LISCARD will lose its Wilko store today (Thursday, September 28).
Administrators announced on September 19 that the store, located in the Cherry Tree Shopping Centre, would close its doors for the final time this week.
74 Wilko stores have already closed across the country, with 37 more due to close today.
The hardware and furnishings retailer tumbled into administration last month after it came under pressure from weak consumer spending and debts to suppliers.
All of Wilko's last remaining stores that haven't closed this week, including Birkenhead, will shut on Sunday, October 8 as the collapse of the historic retailer comes to a close.
The Liscard store is due to close at 5.30pm. Other store closures across the country have seen staff receive claps and cheers from customers as they shut their doors for the last time.
