THERE is traffic disruption on the M53 this morning following a crash (Thursday, September 21).
The accident is on M53 Southbound from J4 to J5.
Traffic feed INRIX, says: "Slow traffic and two lanes closed due to multi-vehicle accident on M53 Southbound from J4 A5137 Brimstage Road (Bebington) to J5 A41 New Chester Road (Eastham)."
One person wrote on social media: "Accident just before junction five towards Chester. Traffic at standstill."
A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: "Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on the M53 earlier this morning.
"Crews were alerted at 8.33am and on scene shortly after. On arrival, crews were met with a three vehicle road traffic collision (RTC) with all vehicles were on all four wheels.
"All occupants were out of the vehicles prior to Fire Service arrival and were conscious and breathing with no apparent injuries.
"MFRS closed the carriageway between Junction 4 and 5 southbound as crews worked to make the vehicles and scene safe.
"North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) were also on scene carrying out precautionary checks. MFRS left the scene at 9.16am."
