CAST and crew from the hit comedy series Brassic were spotted filming in Wirral this week.

Brassic is a British comedy-drama television series created by Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst for Sky One.

The series follows the lives of Vinnie O'Neill (Gilgun) and his friends in the fictional town of Hawley. Other primary cast members include Michelle Keegan, Damien Molony, Tom Hanson, Aaron Heffernan, Ryan Sampson and Parth Thakerar.

Vinnie is a man living with bipolar disorder, who commits various crimes with his "chaotic" friends in an effort to make some money.

Series five of the show will premiere on September 28, and a Christmas special has been confirmed, with The Crown star Imelda Staunton set to appear.

In April, it was also confirmed that the show had been renewed for series six. Filming for series six started at the end of August.

Following news of the sixth season, Brassic is now Sky One's longest-running scripted comedy since Trollied ended in 2018.

It was up for a National Television Award this year in the Comedy category, however, Young Sheldon took the crown.

This week, members from the Brassic cast were spotted at Seacombe Ferry Terminal, filming on board the Royal Iris ferry.

The gang was seen in their brightly coloured outfits and sunglasses on a sunny day along The River Mersey.

It is unclear when series six will premiere at this time.
