WHEN asked to think of their dream wedding venue, you'd expect most people conjure up images of picturesque churches, stunning stately homes or even a beach on a tropical island.
You'd be forgiven then for being surprised if someone were to say the deck of a Boeing 747 aircraft.
But that is exactly what is on offer at The Deck 747 in Barton Aerodrome, Manchester.
The events centre and flight simulator is now fully licensed to host weddings with up to 120 guests at what is one of north England's most unique venues.
Happy couples even have the chance to say 'I do' in the cockpit surrounded by the myriad vintage aircraft controls.
The cockpit is just one of three settings where soon-to-wed couples can exchange their vows, with the hanger, complete with the upper deck of former British Airways in the background, or the luxurious business class lounge on board the plane.
Drew Hanna, co-founder of Doors2Manual and director of The Deck 747, said: "We’re absolutely delighted to be able to offer such a special service to flight fanatics with the chance to get wed in the historic surroundings of a Boeing 747, even while sitting behind the controls in the pilot’s seat.

The Deck 747 team can also liaise with local vendors to off a complete wedding package, including venue dressing, catering, photographer, video, flroal arrangements and entertainment.
Alternatively, the hangar can be provided as a blank canvas for guests to put their own stamp on the occasion.
