A MUM who has just returned from Glastonbury with her two children has said how she "preferred it" to when she went with friends in 2015.

Jade Magner, from Prenton, got a ticket for this year's Glastonbury with her friend, however, her friend had already planned to go with her partner.

Left with a ticket, Jade weighed up the logistics of childcare for the time she would be at the festival and decided to take her two sons, Jesse (6) and Cooper (5) with her.

Speaking to the Globe, Jade said: "I started looking into what was on offer for the kids, and the more I read up about it the more I wanted to take them.

"They do music lessons, libraries, and circus shows. There are also two designated big kids areas with all of the activities."

Children under 12 go free into the festival, and there are two designated family camping areas, which have 24-hour security and child-friendly toilets.

Jade, Jesse, and Cooper arrived at Glastonbury on Thursday (June 22) and watched lots of famous faces over the weekend including Lewis Capaldi, Fred Again and Guns N Roses.

The 29-year-old added: "Everyone around us in the crowds was so nice.

"The boys thought it was amazing honestly. We didn't have any bother the whole time. Obviously, I was very cautious about where we stood in certain places incase they needed a spot to sit down.

"I was on my own so if I had one of the boys on my shoulders someone would offer to put the other one on theirs."

Jade attended Glastonbury eight years ago with friends and said that she preferred it this time around as she "saw so much more".

She said: "I saw so many more areas this time round. I had no hangovers and was up out and early every day.

"When I first went with my friends and I was watching Florence and the Machine there was a little boy who was about seven next to me in the crowd with his mum and auntie and I got him on my shoulders.

"I just thought when I have kids I want to take them.

"I did nearly cry coming in with everything on my own but the boys were just amazing."
