“Sadly, the interior of his salon suffered an explosion due to the combustion of towels, heat, and essential oils on Wednesday night after he closed the salon and shutters.

The fire was only detected much later by passers-by who spotted smoke billowing out of the shutters.

“The apartments above were evacuated and the fire service we’re soon at the scene. Fortunately, nobody was hurt but sadly we are devastated to say that the interior is destroyed.

“I was abroad at the time receiving many calls from clients. I spoke briefly to Jimmy as he just reached the salon, and he was in shock at the devastation. The salon clients are like his family and it’s his livelihood. Sadly, his insurers will not cover his losses. I have set this fund up to help Jimmy recover and save his business.”

So far, the fundraising page has raised £240 out of its £20,000 target. To donate click here.
