A MUM from Bebington said she was "so proud" when her daughter, who is part of a dance group, got Simon Cowell's golden buzzer on Britain's Got Talent.

Libby Walker, 21, has been dancing since she was two-years-old.

She spent 10 years at Vibe Stage Academy, based in Wirral and then she moved to Unity, a dance group trained at TV star Jennifer Ellison's theatre school in Liverpool.

On Saturday, May 20, Unity appeared on an episode of Britain's Got Talent where they performed a powerful and moving performance about "accepting everyone for who they are".

Before their performance, the group told the panel: "We are called Unity, we are all friends in college, so we decided to put this group together to perform a piece called I Will, which is about being told you can't or you're not enough and how as a group we come together."

Libby and her girlfriend Steph, spoke about how they are "in love" and how they "constantly have eyes" on them when they are holding hands walking down the street.

They explain how a "male and female can kiss in public and no one will look twice" but no one wants them to "show their love".

Speaking about the audition, which was in February, Libby's mum, Jennie Walker, who was there on the day said: "We just screamed as soon as they stopped their performance.

"After Bruno spoke it just came alive and the whole theatre stood up shouting to push the golden buzzer."

For the first time, Simon said he would "break the rules" and press his golden buzzer for the second time in the series.

Junior Frood, 18, from Birkenhead, also appeared in the performance, highlighting how he was builled growing up for his "love of dance".

Jennie said how she felt "so proud" of Libby watching her performance on the Britain's Got Talent stage.

"The whole thing is just so emotional", Jennie said.
