THOUSANDS of fans descended on Liverpool’s EuroVillage yesterday (May 10) to watch performances from local musicians and Eurovision performers.
Day four of the Eurovision celebrations saw music fans partying at the Eurovision Village on the Pier Head.
The line up saw Wirral-born Miles Kane and West Kirby’s Michael Aldag take to the stage followed by Lightning Seeds and DJ set from Girls Don’t Sync. The gig also saw performances from Norway’s Alessandra and Finalnd’s Kaarija.
Posting on Instagram after the show, Miles Kane said: "Liverpool that was f****** amazing! I love you all."
While newcomer Aldag took to his social media and said: "Thank you so much, Liverpool. That wasn't even real!"
Gates to the EuroVillage opened to fans at midday and entry was free to the 15,000 capacity venue.
The National Lottery and UK charity Music Venue Trust hosted the gig as part of the United by Music Tour.
The National Lottery’s United By Music Tour of Liverpool sees over 20 gigs at 20 music venues across Liverpool to showcase the city’s iconic music scene and to support the grassroots music venues.
Other local Liverpool and Wirral bands and artists have performed this week including The Coral, Jamie Webster, The CRAWLERS and The Mysterines.
