A NEW café focusing on sustainable food and holistic health practices, has opened its doors today (May 8).

Located inside Make Hamilton on Cleveland Street, Nettle, will sell sustainably sourced food and drinks, including coffee from Blossom Coffee Roasters, a North-West based company known for its commitment to quality and responsible operations.

Julia Strelzuk, who is behind Nettle, said she is "a passionate advocate for natural well-being and the environment".

The café will also incorporate fresh produce and honey produced from Make Hamilton's garden and bee hives.

Julia's personal journey to improve her health has led her to gather and incorporate knowledge from specialists in natural healing into her new venture.

'I'm thrilled to bring Nettle to the community'

She said: "I'm thrilled to bring Nettle to the community and provide a space for people to enjoy quality food and drink while supporting wellbeing and local farmers.

"Fresh, plus natural is as good as it gets for food. We are committed to sustainability and promoting holistic health practices, and we can't wait to welcome everyone through our doors."

A range of infused cocktails and mocktails created from herbs collected from Make Hamilton’s own garden will help to offer a unique evening experience.

Nettle opened it's door today (May 8) and will open Monday to Friday 9am-4.30pm.

Future plans for Nettle include offering wellbeing workshops around the Wirral to share this knowledge and in the coming months an introduction of an evening service at the cafe with small plates and drinks available.
