'I'm very pleased the Post Office is re-opening'

Cllr Keith Millar told the Globe: "I'm very pleased that the Post Office is re-opening and I'm grateful to have worked with Neston Town Council, Local MP Justin Madders, and local Cheshire West and Chester Councillors Louise Gittins and Martin Barker on this.

"The Post Office closed around a year ago and we were trying to look for solutions, and came up with a part-time Post Office. It involved a lot of teamwork and it's good to see all of the councillors support the community.

"One story that stuck in my mind was a resident got in touch about the impact on a Friday morning. People with mobility issues in the community had to travel further and would get a taxi on a Friday morning to go to the market and then have to get another taxi to the Little Neston Post Office.

"It's that personal impact on people that stuck in my mind."
