A MAN was arrested at an address in Birkenhead on suspicion of drug offences.

On Friday, February 17, Merseyside Police officers engaged in Operation Remove at a property in Birkenhead.

After a subsequent search, a 62-year-old man was arrested for Possession of Controlled Class B drug.

He was further arrested for Possession with Intent to Supply Class A, B & C drugs after a quantity of suspected cocaine, amphetamine, prescription drugs and cannabis was recovered.

Pepper spray, weapons and a large quantity of cash was also recovered by officers during the search.

This led to a further arrest of Possession of a Firearm, Offensive Weapon and Criminal Property.

Also on Friday, officers in Moreton arrested a 19-year-old for Suspected Possession with Intent to Supply Class B drugs and a number of Road Traffic offences including Drug Drive.

The man's high powered electric bike also seized for having no insurance or licence.
