TWO men were arrested in Birkenhead on suspicion of drug offences this week.

On Friday, February 17, Merseyside Police announced that two men, aged 25 and 51, were arrested in Birkenhead by officers engaged in disruption patrols.

Officers were engaged in the patrols for Possession with Intent to Supply Class A drugs after a quantity of suspected heroin and cocaine was recovered by officers.

Elsewhere, in Beechwood, a 20-year-old man was arrested by officers from Operation Remove on Suspicion of handling Stolen Goods from a burglary in the Bebington area last year.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

The police also announced how a Misuse of Drugs Act Warrant was executed by Operation Remove officers yesterday in the Clywd Street area of New Brighton, Wallasey.

Upon gaining entry, officers located a cannabis farm with 200+ plants.

Earlier in the week, a 57-year-old male from Rock Ferry was arrested on Tuesday evening in the Solly Avenue area of Rock Ferry.

A local resident reported seeing a male wearing an high-visibility jacket trying car door handles in the area.

Following a search of the area, officers from Wirral Response located and detained the male.

On further investigation, he was found in possession of 17 suspected stolen items and arrested for Theft from Motor vehicles x 3.
