NESTON library is hosting a 'Health and Well-being Week', which includes lots of free activities and two music events.

The libraries 'Health and Well-being Week' will take place from Monday, January 23 to Sunday, January 29.

Throughout the week there will be a range of partners offering free activities to help improve residents’ mental and physical well-being.

This year’s partners include Age UK, Brio Leisure, Vivo Care Choices, Cheshire Police, the Road Safety Team and local organisations.

Local duo Two Penny Piece will be playing at the well-being coffee morning on Wednesday, January, 25 at 10.30am.

They also have their first evening of music taking place on Friday, January, 27 at 7.30pm from Micky Rivers. Music Off the Shelf is an acoustic session with songs by Bruce Springsteen, Beatles, Glen Campbell, Simon and Garfunkel, Elvis and Roy Orbison.

There is also the return of the Drive Safely for Longer course. This is a free workshop delivered by the Road Safety team and is aimed at people aged 60 years and over who have an interest in updating their driving skills and knowledge.

It’s also useful for those who want help in adapting to a new vehicle or simply want to gain more confidence.

Brio Leisure will also be hosting a health check from 11am-1pm on Wednesday, January 24 and a well-being walk from 10am-12pm on Saturday, January 28.
