TRANMERE Rovers Football Club is aiming to raise funds for disability-friendly commentary.

Disabled Rovers, the Tranmere Rovers' Disabled Supporters' Association, is a group for disabled supporters and those who come with them.

The group has set a fundraising objective of raising £4,000 over the course of the season to get audio-descriptive commentary installed at Prenton Park.

Ellis Palmer Babe, Chair of the group, told the Globe: "This is something that is much-needed at Prenton Park.

“Getting audio-descriptive commentary installed will be of great benefit to our blind and visually-impaired fans, as well as those who have views obstructed by infrastructure by the stadium.

“The hope is that this could significantly improve the matchday experience of those who currently struggle to enjoy matches at Birkenhead's local club.

“It will be staffed by volunteers when it is eventually set up, so if you’d like to get involved or maybe have a fundraising idea to help us get £4000 together to get this installed, please do get in touch with the group by emailing TranmereRoversDSA@gmail.com.”
