A MEGA breakfast challenge has launched at a café in Wallasey.
Full English fans can take on a mega breakfast challenge at The Coffee Roast at Vale House in Vale Park.
Customers will need to gobble down four sausages, four rashers of back bacon, four ulster fries, four black puddings, four hash browns, four slices of toast, four tomatoes, 16oz of beans, 16oz of mushrooms plus tea or coffee.
Hungry hopefuls will need to eat the mega breakfast within just 20 minutes to secure the free meal for themselves and their table.
If unsuccessful, the humungous brekkie will set you back £25.
A manager from The Coffee Roast told the Globe: “My chef and I were talking this morning about how our full English breakfasts are quite big and he mentioned about guy who does food challenges on YouTube.
“We then wondered if people around our area would be able to complete a challenge like the ones online so, we threw down the gauntlet.”
So far, the challenge has received interest from locals online, but no brave takers have stepped up to attempt to complete the challenge.
Amongst the excitement and disbelief from members of the community, the café has also experienced some opposing opinions. The café added: “We have also had some negative feedback.
“Some people feel that it's grotesque and insensitive, but businesses are struggling at the moment, especially independent businesses.
“I guess some people only see what's in front of them and what we are doing now.
“Last year we gave away £8,000 worth of vouchers to local schools and during COVID and we fed 3,500 people for free.”
