BIRKENHEAD Post Office, convenience and stationery store is moving to a new, permanent location in town.
Its new home, Birkenhead's former Yorkshire Bank premises on Grange Precinct is currently undergoing a full refurbishment and will open to the public on Monday, November 21 at 1pm.
A temporary Post Office is currently operating at 6 Princes Pavement, Grange Precinct.
This provided service after the WHSmith branch, where the store had been based, closed. This interim service will close on Saturday 19 November at noon.
There will be three full-screened screened Post Office serving counters. The same wide range of Post Office services will be available.
The opening hours will remain as Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – 12 noon.
Karl Haddon, Post Office network provision lead, said: "We know how important a Post Office is to residents and businesses and we are delighted to soon be opening a permanent Post Office for Birkenhead in central Birkenhead."
