A WOMAN from Wallasey has died after falling from a hotel balcony in Ibiza.

Robyn-Eve Maines was on holiday in San Antonio in Ibiza when she fell 30ft from a hotel balcony.

The incident is reported to have happened at around 9am on Sunday, September 25,

The 24-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the Rosamar Hotel.

The tragic news has been met with outpourings of sadness from family members and friends.

Robyn’s younger brother, Cam Maines, said: “For those who don't already know, today I lost my big sister Robyn-Eve Maines.

“She fell 30ft from a hotel balcony in Ibiza. She will forever be loved and remembered for the fantastic person she is. Our hearts bleed for the loss of someone so special. I love you big sis always will.”

Hundreds have taken to social media to share their messages and tributes to Robyn-Eve.

One tribute said: “Oh Robyn-Eve Maines I can’t even begin to say how devastated I am with this sad news.

“I am truly heartbroken. You were one of my best friends this doesn’t seem real at all.

“You will be so so missed by so many and I can’t even imagine how you’re family are feeling.

“You’ll always have a special place in my heart Love you always fly high angel.”

Another read: “In complete and utter shock to hear about the passing of Robyn-Eve Maines at the insanely young age of 24.

Another message of condolence said: “Absolutely heartbroken for my best friend Nicole Shannon Fletcher who lost her best friend yesterday.

“Robyn-Eve Maines was a firecracker, beautiful inside and out and so much fun to be around.

“Her family and friends are in my thoughts at this sad time and safe journey home Nicole. I bloody love you.”

An FCDO spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British woman who has died in Ibiza and are in contact with the local authorities.”
